Creative, quirky and unconventional, Danika is an actress with a passion for film. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Danika has always had a flair for the dramatic, spending hours as a child dressing up and performing fantastical plays for her parents and anyone else who would watch.
Danika has appeared in various TV shows such as ‘Psych’ and ‘The Two Corey’s” on A+E. She has also appeared in several national commercials for companies like Fitness on the Go and the University of Florida. She studied stage acting at Ryerson University before relocating to Vancouver, BC and discovering her love for film at Vancouver Film School. After graduation from the Acting Program at VFS, Danika produced and performed in the play “Sunday on the Rocks”, directed by Jim Bates at the Havana Theatre. The following summer, Danika took on her first film producing project, a 40-minute horror/dark comedy called ‘Howard and Betty’, which is currently on the festival circuit. She has also produced and acted in a short film called ‘Karma Baby’ and a film for the Real Estate Institute of BC entitled ‘The Real Neil’. This fall, Danika will be moving back to Toronto to work on the horror film “SHELTER”, produced by Jamie Carswell.
Danika lives in Vancouver and studies with Michelle Lonsdale Smith at Lyric School of Acting. She is a self proclaimed yoga addict and a volunteer for Surfrider Foundation. Danika includes singing, modeling and dancing among her many skills and talents. She also drives motorcycles, cooks a mean tofu curry, and is a writer of screenplays, short films, and bad poetry. Danika is currently co-writing a television series entitled “The Girls on the 21st Floor”.
